I recycle most clothes anyway, it's just a place to convert local leathers into something better for the most part great beauty stat fabric that provides great contrast to the night leather stuff. 2 angel moths: alpha animals, makes moth silk. 1 slurrypede to eat corpses with the other animals and make food for the carnivores Making cheese! Gows at least make heavy fur instead of plain leather, but their milk production is about half of cows.

10-12 milk animals, usually cows, but I've got a few spined gows this go around. 8 nightlings, with only 2 as males (1 for backup): alpha animals, works at night, as a neat ranged attack for when absolutely needed but most importantly, night leather furniture looks amazing, the beauty stat is great, and they lay eggs to reproduce. Absolutely massively fast caravans when using them.

It works at night, is fast, and does not eat living plants. 6 night aves: alpha animals, the black chocobo. I also love having loads and loads of tamed animals, from hauling animals to animal product producers to meat livestock. Great for closing in on bases while caravan raiding. Riding the totally not space chocobos means you can really easily kite anything.

However your mount will also attack your target, even if you don't have it trained with attack training (you only need to give them guard training to mount), so you have a bit of a force multiplier there. You don't really get any bonus for charging into combat, unfortunately (in fact there is actually a slight melee penalty for attacking from a mount, although not one that's significant enough that I've ever really noticed it). You can, however train your mount to fight and then dismount it in combat so now your enemy has two bloodthirsty animals high on drugs in their face. You don’t get, like, a charge bonus to attack rolls. It just makes your dude move really fast.
